Welcome to the Labouring-Class
Writers Project
What we do
This Project studies the history and culture of working men and women. Our Database of British and Irish Labouring-Class Poets working in the period 1700-1900 contains information about more than 1,400 writers. Dozens more authors are being added to the database each year thanks to the efforts of a community of scholars worldwide.
We also publish works by such writers both in print and online, and provide resources for teachers, researchers, students and readers of labouring-class literature.
